Great Story Examples for Videos
The two great religious events celebrated in March/April revolve around powerful narratives: death and resurrection of an individual and liberation of a people. Whether it’s the story of the Exodus at Passover or the resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter, storytelling plays a central role in both religious observances.
Both evoke emotions, convey messages and tell stories about redemption and renewal. They are examples of what must be incorporated into videos to be compelling: a good narrative and storytelling with a message that evokes emotion.
This video we produced is exemplary incorporating a powerful narrative of one person’s resurrection, redemption, renewal and liberation. The video conveys an authentic spiritual message of truth and the redemptive power of a county building, no less. Yes, even a building can have a story with a powerful message in video if you know how to tell it. In this case, it is the Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) that takes on a spirituality of its own through narrative.
Symbolism and Imagery
Easter and Passover are rich in symbolism and imagery that communicate deeper spiritual truths. Similarly, videos utilize visual elements, symbolism, and imagery to convey messages and evoke responses from viewers.
These elements resonate with audiences and leave a lasting impression. That’s what you aspire to achieve in a video, as with the BARC video above.
Community and Connection
Easter and Passover are occasions for communal gatherings, where families and communities come together to celebrate, reflect, and connect. Similarly, videos have the power to bring people together, transcending geographical boundaries and fostering a sense of community.
